Biography
Jeffrey Cross is a Professor in the department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Society as well as Energy Science and Engineering Graduate Major (called Energy Course) at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State Univ. in 1992 and has lived/worked in Japan for over 25 years both in industry and in Academia. He manages his research lab which has approximately 14 graduate students doing research on energy policy, educational technology and biofuel development. He teaches courses on academic writing, educational technology, energy & environment, materials science and chairs the public relations committee for the graduate major energy course. Jeffrey manages the online education development office and creates MOOCs with instructors and teaching assistants on edX. He created a MOOC on science, engineering, AI and Data ethics on edX.
