Women in Science and Engineering: Increasing Their Numbers in the 1990s (Index of Abstracts)
These abstracts are condensed excerpts and ideas from an earlier version of topics covered in Science and Engineering Programs: On Target for Women?. Each chapter was originally fourteen to twenty pages long. These abstracts represent the author's major ideas and suggestions to correct historical trends of low female participation in science and engineering.
Because this is an earlier version of work on the same topic from the same foundation, some research cited in these abstracts may contradict research cited in Sci/Eng Programs: On Target for Women?. We have tried to omit any conflicting research and leave only the most current research cited. Please accept research cited in the later edition as the most accurate and send a comment to notify us of any discrepancies. See original text information for publication details.
