ASME vs. Hydrolevel Corp (Texas A&M University Engineering Ethics Cases)

Hydrolevel suseveral parties including the ASME arguing that they were motivated by a conflict of interest and violated the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. The litigation against ASME went all the way to the Supreme Court where the case was settled for $4.75 million in favor of Hydrolevel.

This case may be integrated into any level engineering course as it concerns conflicts of interest and the operation of engineering professional societies.
