A number of resources exist to help instructors begin developing ethics instruction methods and curricula.

Resources for Research Ethics Education
Developed by the Responsible Conduct of Research Education Committee of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, this web resource provides links to a wide range of information for instructors interested in RCR instruction. The site includes a series of modules on some of the main topics in research ethics such as human subjects, collaboration, and peer review. Each topic section includes a brief introduction to some of the main issues, a summary of applicable rules, regulations and guidelines that apply, a summary of ethical principles that are particularly relevant to the topic, and a section of further resources, which include case studies and readings for use in instruction. The site also includes a summary of some examples of how to teach RCR, as well as discussion tools and main points to keep in mind for instructional assessment.

Poynter Center Teaching Research Ethics
Every year the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions at Indiana University, Bloomington, sponsors a workshop to provide training for those involved in teaching research ethics or in administering research programs. The workshop emphasizes a variety of pedagogical approaches to teaching research ethics, through sessions on ethical theory, research ethics, trainee and authorship issues, assessment and evaluation, responsible data management, integrity in research, conflict of interest, and international research.

Ethics Across the Curriculum Workshops
From 1997-2003, the Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions at IIT hosted colleagues from institutions internationally and across the country for the Ethics Across the Curriculum summer workshops. Running seven days, these workshops allowed twenty participants from a variety of disciplines to discuss ways to meaningfully integrate ethics into undergraduate and graduate curricula. Since then, a number of other institutions have started hosting their own workshops. This resource gives a detailed synopsis of what was covered in these workshops, and gives some very general advice and a further list of resources and readings for individuals looking at integrating ethics into their course, or in developing a university-wide Ethics Across the Curriculum program.

Ethics Across the Curriculum Toolkit
Modeled upon the practice of open source code development, the EAC (ethics across the curriculum) Toolkit has established an online environment that enables the sharing of best practices in ethics instruction. Working on Connexion courseware and its online platform, the Toolkit facilitates integrated access, collaborative creation, continual improvement, and interactive dissemination of EAC resources and instructional best practices.
