Understanding of FDA human subjects regulations, OLAW and USDA animal subjects regulation, NIH FCOI/COI rules and regulations, NIH IBC Committee rules/regulations, RSC state and federal regulations, and HIPPA regulations. Professional communication and correspondence with faculty, students, staff, and administrators in regards to IRB, IACUC, IBC, and RSC application protocols, federal and state regulations, and other office matters. Promoting research and research activities. Providing research support and grant funding opportunities to faculty and student researchers using InfoEd and Community of Science grant search engines and databases. Assist faculty in finding grant funding opportunities (federal, state, foundation, and local) through the InfoEd Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN). These duties include set-up of their account profiles, keywords selection, and tutorial of the system. Analyze and audit office expenditures for Office of Academic Research. Maintain and update office websites – Research and Sponsored Programs and Institutional Review Board Website’s. Formatting and editing of Institutional Review Board application submissions. Grant formatting, research, and editing skills of grant proposals for electronic and hand mailed submission to various federal, state, local, municipal, and foundation agencies. Perform advanced office practices and procedures. Experience/Training/Teaching Experience: 18 years of experience working with human research protections and IRB and 10 years of experience with IACUC, IBC, RSC, and FCOI. Experience: 8 years of experience working in the Research and Sponsored Programs Office submitting grants electronially and hard copy to NIH, NSF, NASA, USDA, and other federal, state, and local agencies.
