Biography
Yvette Pearson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Old Dominion University, where she has taught since 2002. She earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Miami. Her area of research interest is bioethics, particularly the myriad moral issues surrounding human reproduction, whether it is done via assisted reproductive technology or the old-fashioned way. Dr. Pearson has been teaching bioethics and other applied ethics courses for undergraduates for the past 10 years and occasionally teaches graduate-level applied ethics courses. She is also Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Philosophy, Science, and the Law.
